Eureka has the fastest lifts in the Southern Hemisphere. The summit lifts travel at 9 meters per second and from the ground floor passengers are whisked up to the summit in around 40 seconds.

If you are traveling in a lift and it fails please press the emergency button for FIVE seconds. This will place a call to the Otis Emergency line; they then will dispatch a technician to Eureka Tower to release the trapped passenger. An alarm will also register with the Concierge desk to inform our staff of a problem.
Being trapped in a lift can for some people be a frightening experience, but it is important to understand that at no time is there any danger to passengers. The lifts at Eureka are the most up to date technologically advanced lifts available on the market.
