Balconies
Gas barbeques are permitted on open balconies.
Winter Gardens
With Body Corporate permission, gas or electric barbeques may be installed in winter gardens, subject to the following:-
- portable gas bottles are not permitted;
- gas supply must comply with Australian Standards AS 5601-2002 AG 601-2002;
- a flame failure shut off valve must be provided to the barbeque;
- a gas solenoid shut of valve must be provided to the apartment, to enable gas shut-off in the case of a general fire alarm to the apartment level;
- an exhaust fan duct constructed in sheet metal must be installed, in line with range hood exhaust requirements;
- winter garden window must be open;
- a sprinkler head must be situated at the top of the range hood exhaust and certified by an approved fire services contractor
