ANZAC Day – Thursday 25 April – is a day of national significance that gives us all the opportunity to pause and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served in defence of our nation and way of life, and those who continue to serve today.

Commemorating service and sacrifice each ANZAC Day is part of the fabric of Victoria and is integral to our lives each April.

Below you can find information on the ANZAC Day activities near you, and inside information about road closures and the like.

We hope you can find some time to attend and commemorate this ANZAC Day. Keep reading or visit https://rslvic.com.au/anzac-day-melbourne or more ANZAC Day plans in and around Melbourne.

ANZAC Day Dawn Service – Shrine of Remembrance

Veterans and members of the public have been gathering at the Shrine of Remembrance on ANZAC Day for a traditional Dawn Service since 1934 to commemorate all those who served and died in the defence of our country.

The Dawn Service is now attended by over 50,000 people each year. There will be multiple screens around the Shrine to enable participants to view the proceedings.

The Dawn Service commences at 5:30am and concludes by 6:30am. At the end of the service, members of the public can go into the Sanctuary of the Shrine of Remembrance to lay a poppy.

ANZAC Day Commemoration March

The Commemoration March began in 1916, on the anniversary of the first Gallipoli landing, when 600 veterans marched across Princes Bridge.  Veterans and their decendants have marched each year since from the City to the Shrine.

It enables those who have served Australia and its allies to re-form the ranks of their units and March. Descendants of veterans are welcome to participate in the March.

The March is an opportunity for the people to honour those who have served and who currently serve our country.

RACV vehicles carrying the first veterans proceed down the March route at 8:30am, and the remainder of the March commences at 9am. The March is normally complete by midday.

Dear Residents,

We have received a number of complaints regarding Telstra and Optus mobile phone drop outs in the building.  This is due to old mobile reception technology in the building.

Unfortunately there is not a lot building management can do.  However, as a Telstra or Optus customer there is something you can do.

If you are having mobile phone reception issues in the building, feel free to use the templates provided or draft your own letter to send to either Telstra or Optus.  Then send this to your respective provider.

To download the template for Telstra click here and send it to andrew.penn@telstra.com.au

To download the template for Optus click here and send it to allen.lew@optus.com.au

It would be great if we can improve the mobile phone infrastructure at Eureka Tower and with your assistance it may be possible.

Thank you.
